Are Chevy malibu good cars?

I'm interested in buyiny a used 1999 Chevy malibu with 105,000 miles. Asking price$1900.00. (Owner said)NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS its a V6,3100 motor. Are these good cars, are repairs expensive. Or should I keep looking. What are some good model cars besides honda.

For that price, if it's working it will probably be a good car. I have a 2012 Chevy Malibu, it's not my favorite car but it works.

My mom had one and one part lit on fire while driving. Certain little things never worked. It might have just been her car. I really don't know. Test drive it and make sure everything works.

  • Why are Chevy Cruzes bad cars? My co-worker keeps telling me that my car is very gay. For the record my parents bought me that car. It was a graduation present when I graduated from high school 2 years ago. He drives a Honda. I just want to know why people don't like Chevy cruzes and chevys in general
  • Why is it that some husbands let their wives drive luxury cars while they drive ordinary cars? I've been observing some of my neighbors (one of them is a stay at home mom) and the husbands drive ordinary cars like Honda Accord or Honda Pilot. But the wives tend to drive luxury cars like Acura TSX or Acura RDX (some form of luxury car). What is the reason for this? Why do wives get to drive luxury cars while the husband drives ordinary car? I should say some of them. Its not a problem though but was only curious. The neighbors are Asians actually.
  • Is it better to sell Cheap cars or Expensive cars? As a car salesman? Some people would think cheap cars but people with bad credit get declined often. I know this because my credit sucks and i'm almost always declined for cars. I'm sure this makes it tougher to get a sale right? This has me thinking, i want to sell cars. Should selling luxury cars like mercedes and bmw be better than selling hondas and toyotas?
  • How reliable is Chevrolet Malibu compared to Honda, Toyota and MAzda? My mother is looking to buy a new car and it seems 2015 Chevy Malibu is the cheapest mid-size sedan available. The price at the local dealer is $17,500 compared to $23,000 Mazda 6. My Mazda protege has almost 200k miles and has never ever given me any trouble. However my 2009 Subaru Outback with 60k has been nothing trouble. So I was wondering how reliable are those Malibus? Do they need expensive repairs done often?
