As long as maintenance has been done, yes they are reliable. For some reason the depreciate faster. It's not unheard of to see them well north of 200,000.
My mechanic says Hyundai is "junk"
They are not as good as the Hondas or Toyotas. You may have to get a bit older Honda or Toyota or take your chances with a less reliable Hyundai.

- What is the price range for a decent 1986 honda cb450 nighthawk? Looking for an older Nighthawk but I know nothing when it comes to pricing, found one that needs the gas tank cleaned and lined for $900, and not sure if good or bad deal.
- I'd like to buy a used Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V or Hyundai Tucson, Am I better off wit 4wd/Awd or 2wd/Fwd? I live in the suburbs of Chicago and want a small SUV because it sits up high. But the question is am I better off getting an AWD/4WD or a FWD/2WD model? I'm tempted on getting a FWD model to save on gas, insurance and slap on some snow tires in the winter. But I've heard that AWD models hold their value better though.
