Can I get more money for my car if I do these things?

I'm selling a 10 year old Honda SUV with over 200k miles. Would doing any of these raise its value?

1. An inspection by a mobile mechanic plus detailed report - $150
2. Steam cleaning interior (lots of stains) - $200
3. Removing 5 small dents - $300
4. Fixing a rear window that won't go down - $250
5. Cloudy front headlight covers - $50

Any other things I can do to raise its value?

The SUV has never been in an accident, never had mechanical problems and 1 owner.

Ghghhggh

Hell no lol. It's all about the mileage and 200k mileage? You won't get very much for that. The most 2-3 grand. Goodluck lol

1. No.

2. It won't raise the value $200 worth, but it would make it more salable, i.e., easier to sell.

3. It depends on how small the dents are. It's foreseeable that 5 dents could detract from the car's value by $300, though.

4. No. Chances are the person that buys it won't ever even test that window before buying it.

5. Like with cleaning the interior, it won't increase the car's value, but it might make it easier to sell.

Wash it and vacuum the interior. Wipe down the engine compartment with a moist rag (do NOT wash the engine). Tell the buyer about the window. That is all you have to do. You won't get too much for the car.

It is what it is. Shine it up all you want. Just Blue Book and deductions for wear and tear and mileage.

You probably wouldn't get an extra $950 to offset the expense.

You LIE. You don't have a car.

None of those things raise its value by even half the cost.

A pro detail, maybe.

I'd sand down the headlights with 00 grit wet sandpaper using a plant spray bottle to keep the sandpaper wet then use rubbing alcohol to clean the plastic before putting 2 coats of clear lacquer spray paint on them.
Nothing else will bring you more money. Just trade it in on the last Friday of the month at a car dealer. That's when the sales people are trying to get one more vehicle sold to put on next weeks commission check.

Steam cleaning would help.

Nobody is going to buy a dirty car, mso cleaning it is worth it
