Can i lease a car for a year?

So i'm going to the navy soon and i wanted to lease honda or a dodge for a year for pretty low payments. Is that possible?

Think about getting a car after basic training. You might be stationed overseas and you will be paying for a car that your are not driving. Your Chief also will not be happy if you can't make your payments.

If you had the needed credit and employment, you could but it would be VERY expensive.

And you don't.

Always pay cash for a car or do not buy it.

The short answer is no, you can't.

First, you're 18. Lenders are going to look at your credit/credit history, of which you have neither. Second, banks have minimum lending requirements which you meet, to include having no less than 6 months of unbroken full-time employment, and minimum verifiable income of $1700-$2000. Third, You can't lease for less than 2 years. A 12 month lease isn't possible. Last but not lease, you will not qualify for a loan to purchase a vehicle. A lease requires even better credit/credit history.

Just not gonna happen.
