Car enthusiast ex. I wanna how him up?

So I have an ex whose a car enthusiast. What are some ways that I can show him up with my car? He drives a honda SI and I drive a honda LX (newer year cars)… What can I do to make the exterior look nice and riced? Lol! How about under the hood? AHH! I'm not a complete idiot I swear:/ lol

How about laughing at him for wasting money on a grocery getter and still losing to V6 SUVs?

That's the best way to "show him up", is to NOT CARE. If you go through all that effort, it means he got under your skin. He's an ex, right? Then why does what he does matter to you anymore?

Many car guys dislike Hondas because of their lack of sporting credentials. Hondas compared to sports cars are underpowered and don't have rear wheel drive which makes them bad as sports cars. Even with that, some car guys still buy them and modify them to ridiculous levels. 1959's answer of buying a real car means to buy a car that is better at what it does than a Honda. Whether its luxury, speed or looks, Hondas just don't really exceed in any of those.

from my experience with the typical car guys that buy Hondas (especially the SI) is that they are pretty hard to impress. They latch on to little details that the Honda might have and obsess over them. A good example of this is VTEC. VTEC is a technology that got famous in Hondas but now many more brands have it yet when you ask them why they got a honda, VTEC often comes up as the answer. Also, if he drives an SI, there's very little you could do other than spend thousands of dollars to show him up which in my opinion seems extremely childish.

if you still want to fix up your car, take it to do a complete engine tune up then have it professionally cleaned including the engine bay and interior. This will be beneficial to your car as well as make it look good. Past that any upgrades are on you to decide if you want them but realize that many of them can void warranties.

Sell your Honda and buy a real car, that would be the best way

Do it

  • Got a car, no life and wanna drive away to somewhere new and start a new life but how? I'm older, my parents are getting elderly. My sibling is in rehab and my family onlycares about him. I have no friends, no kids and i'm tired of living in my state for 35 years. Seeing the same ppl, same buildings, ugh. I just bought a new honda and honestly i just wanna get in my car and go. I have no money tho and only have a associate degree. What should i do? Apply to a college out of state? Just leave?
  • My friend thinks his Corvette C6 is faster than my 97 Honda Civic, what is the most polite way to tell him he is wrong? I've got a decat pipe and a racing exhaust system that probably add at least 300 horsepower to the wheels, but he still thinks his fully stock C6 would beat it lol.
  • Any Car/Tuner enthusiast out there? Hi, I'm fairly new to the whole car scene and am looking around for some information. I just bought a 1990 Honda Civic Wagon and defiantly want to start working with it and modding it out I'm just trying to figure out where to start with it. What aftermarket parts should I be buying and getting on there before others? And also if I wanted to do an engine swap any ideas or suggestions on which engine would be better?
