Cars: Sale Date Verification Form?

I bought a car from my local Honda dealership in Missouri. They filled the back of the title out incorrectly and had to order a new title for it. I got the title and went to DMV to register the car. They told me I had to have Honda give me a Sale Date Verification form since I bought the car on 9/16 and the issued date on the title is 10/08. On the forms they have to fill out, it is asking for a new sale date to be on or after the title issued date. So, I was wondering since technically the sale date is changing, would I have 30 days from the new date to register the car? Has anyone here had to do this before?

You have 30 days from the day the car was purchased. If you had some incorrect paperwork and reported to DMV and they made you go get new paperwork they're going to expect you to pay for your title and registration because they already know did you purchase the vehicle. Don't depend on the piece of paper to keep you from having to pay the late fee get it done As soon as possible

You should have asked the DMV that question when you were there. FAIL. Call them and ask.

Go back to the dealer. It is THEIR problem and it is them who must correct THEIR problem
