00 Honda civic lx overheating?

Ok I have been having a overheating nightmare. So I had replaced the radiator, all hoses, thermostat, timing belt, both fans work and oil at poper level and cooling system bled. So after when that was done my overheating issue went away but after letting it sit for about a month and a half, my overheating issue came back. I'm very frustrated with this and would appreciate your opinion on this

Best if you check with a teachnician

Why didn't anyone check the water pump? Everything else is useless without a properly functioning water pump.

You said you had fixed the problem so do all the things you did the first time.

Everyone forgets about the heater core, you can bypass the HC then see if your OH prob stop then you know for sure.

If your rad was bad most likely so is your HC.

  • Why is my 1998 Honda civic lx still overheating? I've replaced the thermostat, water pump, timing belt, flushed the radiator and done a coolant test to check for gasses and all is good. The fan is wire up so it automatically comes on when ignition is turned on and is blowing the correct way. Do I need to try a new radiator cap or radiator? Engine light is on but it's for a 02 sensor. Any help is appreciated.
  • I'm driving a 96 honda civic and my car has been shaking and overheating? I have check for leaks and everything is fine but i do have a rusted spark plug, i'm wondering if that may be the cause of shaking and excessive overheating to the point i'm driving with the heater on all the time. Can anyone let me know if the spark plug is the problem and if i replace this one rusted plug will the car drive back normally?
  • My Honda Civic keeps overheating and accelerates very slow? I have Honda Civic 98 EX coupe, and it overheats very quick, i replaced a leaking hose, i got the headgasket replaced, a new thermostate and it still overheats, the car also doesn't accelerate at the rate it should, i could have my foot flooring the gas pedal but it will take forever to eve reach 60 mph.
  • My 2001 Honda Civic is overheating and I can't figure out why? I have replaced the radiator cap, coolant reservoir, and thermostat. Also, I check the fans at various times and everytime they are running fine. Lastly, I'm not sure if this information helps, but I live in southern Louisiana where it is almost always hot. I'm a poor 25 year old female college student and I have no idea what else to do.
