01 honda civic ex short or fuse blown? Won't lock/unlock? No more lights on chime?

I have a 2001 honda civic ex, i recently installed a new stereo in it and from then i haven't been able to lock the doors or unlock with the remote plus when i have the lights on, the chime would let me know if the lights are on but NOT anymore, can someone direct me to how to fix this issue or what caused it?

You should check any fuse or relay that powers the door locks and chime. If you click the link below, it will show a bunch of wiring diagrams. You can look at the diagrams that show the radio, door locks and chime to see how these circuits are connected to each other. If you cut the wires to the radio and spliced them into the factory wiring, you could have wired something incorrectly.I've actually bought a wiring harness that is suppose to be plug n play between the factory wiring harness and the new radio but yet certain electrical accessories quit working after installing the new radio and harness. This might be the same thing that's happening to you. Its also possible that you might have accidentally touched the wrong wire to another wire during installation and blown a fuse. When you open the link below, diagrams #43 through #51 are for the 2001 model so ignore the other ones. Here's the link.

You installed the stereo system yourself? Undo everything and let the audio professional people do the installation. It won't cost that much.
