15 sub woofers in a small car. Good or bad?

I have a Honda Civic Lx sedan, and I want to put two 15" sub woofers in my back seat. What are the chances of me blowing out my windows or something like that?

If you're going to put them in the backseat, tint the rear windows. If not, your odds of getting it stolen is high.

My friend has a 2005 Honda Accord Coupe and he has a single 15" sub in the trunk.

As long as you keep the windows rolled down. 2 15's with 2000+ watts RMS is good enough to do some damage to your car.

The chance of you blowing out windows is almost non-existent, and the diameter of the subwoofer isn't the main parameter that determines how much sound pressure is produced. What's more important is that the she subs and amplifier you install depends on what the alternator capacity of your Civic is. If it is only 70 to 90 amps, which is typical for a Civic, then you aren't going to be able to install very powerful subs unless you upgrade the alternator. The more powerful the alternator is, the more it is going to cost. So what you need to do is come up with a total budget for a system for subs, amplifier, alternator and wiring.

  • Difference between driving in a big car and a small car? So I've been practice driving with my mom's Honda pilot. What is different in a small car when driving. Do I have to pull that ebreak when parked on hill and downhill. I'd have to pay this driving ed place to use their car and a sponser. Also i'm so frustrated I can't get parallel parking at all.
  • Good small (but not mini!) cars? I'm talking about little sporty cars like a Honda Del Sol or a Toyota Celica, NOT about mini or cube cars. Can anyone name some?
  • Is a car intake bad or good for your car? I need experts to answer this. Can't find a straight answer online. I have a 2012 honda civic si and want to get a k and n cold air intake only if it is not bad for my car and gives me better gas mileage. Will it give me better mpg? My dad said not to get because the japanese engineers know the optimal amount of air my engine should be getting and believes it will entually ruin my valves. Any info is thanks.
  • Best sub $5,000 used car? I want a car with a little more pick up, little bit more space. Budget is at tops 5,000, really lower than 4,500 would be great. I need it that money to get me by in a car for a few years. Everyone says "get a honda, get a toyota". well, even ones with 160,000 miles are going for over 6,000 here. No thank you. I believe I would be better off getting an old caddy around 100,00 miles for under 3,000 and using the extra money for repairs. Bad idea?
