1998 Honda Civic does not respond?

It was siting for a while, when I tried to jump start it, it started honking, I stopped, took out the battery, charged it, cleaned the connections, and put it back. When I try to start it, it will not respond, whatever I do. The honk works, and the emergency lights work, the door locker/unlooker does not. Nothing on the dash, nothing anywhere.

You set off the alarm you didn't know you had. Lock the doors with the power lock and shut them. Then unlock the driver's door with the key and start the car. You can get new key fobs for $8 on ebay and they'll tell you how to program them to the car. Get a new car. Hey pavel. Anyone that says "the honk works" needs t find a mechanic! Battery needs charging, bad battery, bad cables, bad connections, bad starter, bad solenoid, or your car is simply worn out.
