2002 honda civic, 174k miles, but its been parked for 5 months. Is it even worth going to look at with a mechanic?
I plan to drive it for at least 3 years(work/school), is the mileage too high?
Not worth it.
Is the mileage too high? No. A Civic can run to 300,000 or so if taken car of.
Is it even worth going to look at with a mechanic? It depends on how much it is being sold for.
At $100 it's the bargain of a lifetime. At $8000 it's not worth it. But you forgot to mention the price. Yes, I would have it looked at. Five months is not an excessive amount of time for a car to sit. If it ran fine before then, it's probably fine now.
It all depends on how well the vehicle was maintained before sitting for 5 months
Plan on needing the battery charged or replaced and some fresh gasoline should be put in the tank.
Once you get it running have the oil and filter changed right away.
- My 2007 Honda Element has a mint body and interior and under 64,000 miles but due to its age it needs about 4k in work, here is the list New tires, front struts with dust boots and bump stops, rear shocks, alignment, water pump, universal belt, front lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends, timing side engine mount, rear brakes, flush and bleed the system and emergency brake adjustment. Should I do the work and keep it due to low miles and good eyeball condition?
- I was looking at q a 2003 Honda 750 ACE because it has low miles. But I was wondering about what I should look at because of that? It's 14 years old and only has 1,900 miles on it. That means it's more than likely been sitting a while. I haven't messaged the person about it yet but I was just wondering what I should look for if I did go and look at the bike? Any suggestions?
- I've financed a car and put 1,000 down, it's been 2 days and the dealer still Looking a for a bank but I've been approved already? So I've put 1,000 down for my car at Honda and everyday passes but still same response from the dealer "still working on a approval" but they have my deposit and they already approved me. Is this even legal, Can they hold my deposit and not give me the car. Would I lose my deposit if I'm not approved?
- Will my car be ok being parked up for 6 months? I have a Honda Civic EP2 VTEC sport. I have just been banned from driving for 6 months so I have declared it off road and parked it in my garage. I will start it every other day and leave it running for a while but I was just wondering if things will start to seize up etc. Will it be better if I get someone else insured on it, pay for tax etc. So they can maybe drive it around every other week?
