2002 Honda Civic Radio Stopped Working?
The factory radio in my 2002 Honda Civic lost all power randomly out of no where. I was trying to set the clock, and I was pressing and holding the "6" button, and then it just shut off. The anti-theft light does not blink. I was thinking that it could be the fuse, but so far every fuse problem I have seen has said that the anti-theft light does blink when the fuse is broken. Could it still be the fuse? (#8 in interior fuse box) Or is there something else? If you have had this problem in a 2001-2005 Civic, please let me know!
Remove the electrical connector at the back and reset the radio for an hour. See if it fixes the issue. Also check the manual and check for reset procedures. Long press on car stereo buttons will oftentimes gives headaches.
Update: Forgot to inform about knowing the security code before resetting. Make sure you know it or the radio will not work. If resetting does not work, check for power and ground at the connector with a test light or multimeter. Power and ground is good, the radio is dead.
I have no clue why a person would ask us if the fuse might be blown when they know which fuse it is and have the car. GO LOOK!
Hi so how long is a car meant to keep working when it was designed to last 7 years from new. Now in it's 17th year.
so no wonder the radio has packed it in.
- My Moped Stopped Working, What's Wrong with it? (Honda Aero 55 1983')? I have a Honda aero 55, 1983 and I was riding it one day when it just shut off out of nowhere. I've had it about a year now and never had a problem. Oil and gas is full and when I kick start it, it sounds normal just doesn't start. Also the battery isn't bad, charged it over night and tried it with no hope. Any ideas?
- Motorcycle choke stopped working suddenly? I have a 1986 Honda rebel 450 that has never had a problem starting. I always use the choke if its cold and its always worked perfectly. However, the today when the bike was running, i put the choke on to see if it was working and it had no effect on the idle whatsoever. I now can't start my bike easily since the choke doesn't work. Does this sound like a bad choke cable? Is a choke cable the same as a throttle cable? I can't find them anywhere.
- I have a 2012 Honda ruckus that stopped working It ran fine a week ago and I took the front frame apart for some painting and put everything back together and now it won't make any noise or no lights will turn on when I switch the key to on. I took the battery to get checked and they said it was good. I don't know much about scooters so any help would be awesome. Just want to get it running again. I noticed a fuse looked like it might be bad but would a bad fuse cause the relay to not click?
- Radio antenna stopped working? I have 1999 honda civic. The radio dosnt get any stations except one or two? When I first got the car the radio worked like a charm. One day my friend accidentally hit the antenna on the top of my car and now it dosnt work. I tried putting a new radio in it and it did the same thing. I have never heard of an antenna breaking though. Can it happen?
