2003 Honda Civic LX 4d sedan shaking? - 1
Added (1). I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX 4d sedan. A week ago I noticed a strong vibration and had all 4 mounts changed including the transmission mount. However, the car still shakes when idling but doesn't vibrate when i'm driving. What could possibly be wrong with my car?
Added (2). I recently had a tune up, and had the brakes and rotors replaced. The car has 215000 miles.
Could be various things, I would take your car to a shop. Check your suspension and make sure your wheels are balanced.
I'm not sure if you already figured it out, but like Paul said it could be lots of things. Get to a mechanic to see what your car is telling you what's wrong. It's no cost to you other then your time and gas, better than asking here since we can't take a physical look at your car.
My Accord had the same shaking problem (minimal when driving but horrendous when accelerating/idle) and from the codes it was giving, it flagged two of the ignition coils being bad so it was causing misfires. I bought replacements and have been fine since then. But who knows what's causing yours.

- I'm driving a 96 honda civic and my car has been shaking and overheating? I have check for leaks and everything is fine but i do have a rusted spark plug, i'm wondering if that may be the cause of shaking and excessive overheating to the point i'm driving with the heater on all the time. Can anyone let me know if the spark plug is the problem and if i replace this one rusted plug will the car drive back normally?
- My 05 Honda Civic is shaking while driving It is a hybrid manual. As I was driving it began to shake, vibrate non stop. If I'm at 20 or 60 it shakes. Why? My neighbor said I might have hit a pothole or something but I do not remember. What could it be? I went outside and tightened the nuts on it and a few where really lose. Hopefully it works.
- Torque value for upper and lower ball joints on a 2003 honda accord v6 sedan? Anybody know how many foot pounds of torque the castle nuts need to be tighened with a torque wrench on a 2003 accord v6 sedan? Tried researching online but couldn't find info. Also if anybody knows the torque for the compliance bushings. Any help will be appreciated. And if anybody knows would they need to be tightened with a load on the suspension or no?
