2004 Honda civic ex check engine light?
I'm having a code that reads p0 2646 the problems that the car has is when you get to 5000 rpms the vtech doesn't seem to kick in the car kinda shakes so I just et my foot off the gas and slowly get to speed. So just want to know what part or parts to check and possibly what part I need to change. But note that this problem wasn't happening before a head gasket change?

Hi it is not the head gasket if only it was. This is wear in the engine. Hardly so surprising given the mileage it has done which you fail to mention. My guess would be you know that is why it has now come to this point in time it needs a new or re-conditioned engine.
This is what happens when you don't do oil and filter changes every 3,000 miles if using conventional oil in your motor or use Mobil 1. When oil isn't changed soon enough it forms a tarnish that clings to the oil passages, cam actuator for advancing the cam timing and the solenoid that controls when the oil passage opens to make the VTEC work. To fix this the actuator and solenoid needs to be replaced. If the mess is bad enough the cylinder head will need to be removed, disassembled, and put in a hot tank.
- Check engine light, open door light, and batterie light all came on and won't go off? 2000 Honda Odyssey I already had the altinator replaced it a month old. The batterie almost a year old. Would the belt need be changed or something else?
- Does a broken muffler/exhaust cause a check engine light to turn on on a 97 Honda civic? Recently my muffler broke and snapped off my 97 honda civic and a day later my check engine turned on, i just got the muffler welded back on. Was the broken muffler the cause of the check engine light to turn on? Will it turn off now that i got the muffler welded back on?
- Check engine light turns on for a few days and then turns off for weeks/months? Code P0420 on a 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid? Over the last year my check engine light has come on about 3 or 4 times for a few days at a time and then turns off again for a very long period of time. I know the code means my catalytic converter is below threshold but why would it turn off? Could it be something else? Should I look into replacing it or wait it out? Any advice is appreciated!
- 2004 Honda civic check engine light on p0128? I took my car to autozone to check the engine light and it gave me p0128 code. It says low coolant or faulty temp sensor. I do a little research and mostly everyone says its a thermostat problem. Which should I believe?
