2009 Honda Civic Vibrations?

My 2009 Honda Civic shakes when I come to a stop. What are the chances it could be a transmission mount? When I drive at low speeds I the transmission kicks subtly but the RPMs look normal. My father drove my car and said it reminds him of when his 13' Explorer needed new mounts. Thoughts?

Hmm. If you look under the hood and reach over and blip the throttle a couple of times a loose mount will probably reveal itself, the motor will move but the mount points shouldnt look 'floppy' … But it could be something else like the torque converter or cv joint ect.

INSPECT the mounts.

Warped brake rotors are more likely. That happens when they've been overheated from excessive braking or riding the brakes.

Make sure the motor is idling properly and at the correct rpms at idle speed.
If the motor mounts need replacing only buy Honda mounts. I've seen too many mechanics with vibration problems after installing after market mounts.

Umm, check the mounts.
