2010 honda civic coupe key stuck in ignition
I have a 2010 honda civic with 36,2006 miles on it and I was running some errands and when I got home my key will not come out of the ignition it will start back up but it only goes to notch one when I turn it to the left and I tried the whole steering wheel thing please help!
Shifter in Park?
Rock the steering wheel a little to left and right?
Push it back in, a little wiggle or jiggle, then turn it back to the left.
Check for ignition switch recall for your car? It might still be covered under warranty.
I have a 2004 Acura out of warranty, and received a recall letter, nothing wrong with it but they replaced it for free. Honda and Acura sometimes uses the same parts.
Get someone to push and rock the car to take the load off transmission. Is it on a hill?
Realistically call a locksmith your ignition is to important/expensive to repair you want a key guy if anyone won't goof it up its him don't trust anyone else
Unplug then replug battery
- Is trouble shooting a helmet lock the same as trouble shooting a key stuck in a door? I have a Honda VFR and the key is stuck in the helmet lock. Its all the way in and turned slightly but won't budge. I just need to know if i should try lube before i call a locksmith.
- HONDA PCX IGNITION KEY SHUTTER LOCKED OUT? I accidentally closed the shutter of my honda pcx 150. I don't have anymore the original key I lost last month. I tried with the copy key may times but of course the magnets were not placed at all in the blank key. i have called also HONDA and they told me to call AAA or a locksmith. The locksmiths i have called they say no we can't do that. What are my options?

The only light that turns on is the alarm light in orange nothing else. It won't start the car either. Only way to get in the car is using the key. Can't open passenger door or turn on anything
