2018 Honda Civic EX Sedan Driver Side Side Mirror Stolen?
Aloha all,
My boyfriend's driver side side mirror was stolen yesterday in broad daylight at the mall. Is there any way to get a replacement part? Or should I have him go to the dealer and see how much it will cost? He's really upset about it and I want to help him out. Attached is a picture of what his mirror looks like now. The wires are still attached and I did order the actual mirror but not sure if there's some kind of backing plate? I can't seem to find it online.

Sure, the Honda dealership or any auto body center can help you with the mirror replacement.
You can't just replace the glass you need to purchase the entire assembly which you can do online [about 100 bucks thru Amazon] or you can order it through the dealer which will cost more.
It probably wasn't stolen it was probably hit and broken and fell off. Whoever did it probably picked up the glass to get rid of the evidence
Side mirrors are usually very easy to install. Perhaps the thief also stole the trim pieces. Unless they opened the door and got in the car, stealing the mirror without breaking it would be impossible. If they broke the mirror off the stuff you need is all still on the car. You could go to a "Pick Your Part" style salvage yard and see how to remove side mirrors without risking damaging your own ca, if you need to practice doing the job. Heck, you might even find a used one that matches exactly for cheaper than the new part.
