88' Honda civic headgasket o-ring?
When I was cleaning the head gasket on the block I wasn't paying to the oil control jet so I want to know if their was a o-ring on the top because I know their was at least one in the bottom.
D16? As with most (if not all) VTEC motors the oil control jet is located in the head while with the non VTEC motors it is located in the block (this holds true for D, B, and H series motors). The o ring should be below or with the jet so I do not know what you're really mean. Look at the picture of a removed jet (During engine rebuilding)
There's no o ring on the top of the engine block. Liverhuyen was right. Look at the oil jet: That's the way it sit into the block.
- Is this a busted piston ring in my 97 Honda Recon? I think I have a busted piston ring on my 97 Honda Recon. It blows smoke but runs fine, I just got through changing the oil for the first time in a long time and it started it. I thought it was to much oil but it still does it but i haven't ran it that much. Is it a busted ring?
