97 honda civic lx showing up with alot of problem after a rainy day. What is it?

I been driving my car before and i never seem to have this problem i have now. I was driving my car while it was raining and the Mile/speed and RPM meter stopped working, the AC also stopped working wish fogged my windows on the car. After 30min the car started to stall like it was lossing power which it did and die on me. Took it to the mechanic he replaced the alternator the car seem fine but the problems then persisted it hapeng again a few hour after. Took it back he changed a relay which fixed the RPM meter again but the mile/speed meter wasn't working still. After that the problem persisted and the RPM meter started going crazy.

The Air Bag light came on and i knew from experience that the car was gonna die. The car is starting to shake like is just running from the energy left from battery.

So what do you guys think the problem is?
Bad relay?
Do you guy think the car computer got whet after passing throw a puddle?

Its when the moisture in the air can no longer be supported as its too heavy and it falls in droplets known as rain to the ground

Really---NO vehicle should get that much water under the hood driving in the rain. Driving thru puddles etc should NOT cause a lot of water to get into the engine compartment. This is why the wheels have wheel wells and splash guards on the front. Look around for ways water is getting under the hood in large quantities---something fell off or came loose. Maybe find another civic and compare it to yours relative to water getting into the engine compartment.

  • 2006 Honda Pilot oil stick showing low oil? The car has absolutely no obvious leaks and its not burning oil we bought a new stick and changed the oil but yet it's still (stick only) showing as low oil, what could be the issue? Is the stick (bought new one from dealership ) the issue or can it be leaking out somewhere that's not in plain view? I'm taking it to mechanic next week but I'm trying to see if I could get Tips Here first. The car runs perfectly fine, no obvious issues.
  • My honda 2001 honda 400ex started smoking and lost alot of power? It smokes pretty badly like a 2 stroke and doesn't have power like it used to. Could it just be the head gasket it does have a litte oil around it? Or could it be more serious valves and rings?
  • I'm nervous that I won't get approved again after 30 day loan expired? My score had dropped from 700 to 645 sadly. One dealer found me financing (Honda dealership) but the loan expired due to 30days passing.im going again to hopefully get approved again. Will it work with my score lowered to 645? Or should I try a few more places for 1st time car buyer loans by myself?
  • Is 150,000 miles alot for a Honda Civic? I'm looking around to find a cheap replacement vehicle. Found a few different Honda Civics, anywhere from 1999-2004, with around 130-150k miles. Price is anywhere ranging from $1500-4500. Are these cars good buys? I've driven Corollas and I just don't like them. I want something reliable and cheap to run. I can live with a few small bugs here and there, as long as the car drives smoothly.
