Adding a turbo or supercharger for a daily driven car? Will it effect my mpg drastically?
I've recently got a car and we'll it really isn't my taste. I've been driving civic's, integras, preludes and flooring them to the limit and well now I'm stuck with a family car, 2016 Honda Hrv but it is a Manual 6 speed. It only has 140hp I want to bump to around at least 200hp. Maybe even make it a sleeper. If I do pick a turbo or supercharger what parts should I upgrade for it?
Yes, your like 16 right.
Yes, adding a turbo or supercharger will drastically effect your fuel mileage. It will also shorten the life of your engine as it wasn't designed for the added boost. To that end, there are a lot of components that need to change before adding forced induction otherwise you'll have a puddle of oil and metal below your car inside of 1000 miles.
If you care about mpg, don't modify your car. It's that simple.
- What's the most expensive vehicle you've ever driven? I drove a $150,000 Mercedes G-Class at work today. I work at an auto mall so I get to drive a ton of different cars everyday, but we normally sell mainline brands (Honda, Toyota, Ford and so on) so expensive cars like those are rare there as they only come in for conditioning. I've also driven a Range Rover and Audi Q7
- NEED GO CART CONVERTED FROM BELT CLUTCH TO CHAIN DRIVEN CLUTCH? I have a 2 seated carter go cart with a 5.5 Honda motor and is belt driven. I'm wanting to convert it to a chain driven system but need to know how. The frame is chain driven but the clutch is belt driven how do I convert the clutch to a chain drive system.
- What car would be better for daily driving? So my choices are a 2013 Ford focus st, Mitsubishi evo 8 (i don't care about how much it kills your back or how old it is), e90 328i, e90 335i, 2008+ mercedes c class, 2011+ ford mustang gt (because of the 5.0 coyote), mazda rx8 2005+ (obvious reasons their), honda civic si 2012+, 2010+ subaru wrx (not a sti). Let me know what you think, and any other cars that could be worthy are appreciated. P.S. It has to be a manual
- Turbocharger or Supercharger on 2012 Honda Civic Si coupe? Which one is the most reliable so to speak? As a college student, I'd prefer the one that is least likely to cause the car to breakdown. and which one is better for mpg?
