Any ideas why my honda civic rumples when it accelerates above 3500 RPM?
I recently hit a pot hole when swerving in front of a deer. Now there's an engine light on my 2002 Honda Civic and it won't go above 55 mph. Any advice? One of the engine mounts is broken but not sure what is up.
Also anyone know anything about radios? My radio antenna only gets one station in and is really bad. It doesn't get good reception. Where can I check to make sure it is connected good? What would you suggest for one or both issues?
Replace the engine mount if you haven't already. That would cause it to "rumple". Saying you have a check engine light won't help. Take it to Advance Auto Parts and have them diagnose the check engine light and give you a code or what's wrong with it. Could be a simple fuse. As for the radio, there's a plug in that goes behind the radio and it can come loose if you have an aftermarket radio. Maybe it can happen to the stock radio or maybe it happened when you swerved? BTW the Check engine light diagnoses is free.
Explain in more detail please.
- Having some Honda problems any ideas? I was riding my 2006 crf 250r and it just had a top end rebuild and it was running fine for a while but I just took it out a couple days ago and after riding for about an hour the compression in the kickstart got really stiff and a couple times it backfired when I kick started it and I couldn't start if at all. Any ideas what it could be?
- I have a Honda 1.4 sport 1999 reg and the revs keep going high but there's little power - any ideas? When i first start it its ok but after 15-20 minutes it starts to over rev and the power seems to drop. Any ideas on what could be causing it?
- My Honda Civic keeps overheating and accelerates very slow? I have Honda Civic 98 EX coupe, and it overheats very quick, i replaced a leaking hose, i got the headgasket replaced, a new thermostate and it still overheats, the car also doesn't accelerate at the rate it should, i could have my foot flooring the gas pedal but it will take forever to eve reach 60 mph.
- Honda civic del sol rpm meter jumping at around 4k rpm? My 94 del sol when driven on the highway. After i hit a little over 4 rpm… The needle starts jumping from 4 to maybe 6 but no engine change or high rev. Just the rpm meter and my temperature guage hit cold and kinda bounce up and down at the bottom line. I recently changed my whole distributor for a used one if that help. Any answers would be appreciated.
