Here, this will be more helpful than a yes / no answer -10 things to look for when buying a used car: https://blog.allstate.com/10-things-to-look-for-when-buying-a-used-car/
There are a lot of things to consider when buying a used car and most of them require seeing the actual car!
One place to start is looking at cost of ownership figures! Some cars are dependable but have high insurance rates (such as a Honda Civic because it is stolen so often).
Some cars have low insurance rates but a higher frequency of repair (like the Chevrolet), but the parts are plentiful and most mechanics can work on them.
Some cars only have the name going for them, such as the VW. Which is not dependable and recently achieved fame for emissions violations.
Factually I would not consider any of the three!
While the Honda might be the best one of the group, I would still prefer a Mazda or a Ford. Both of which tend to be dependable and have lower frequency of repairs while being less expensive to insure.
No
I would get the Passat if I could afford it.
Which one is in the best condition as determined by your mechanic?
- What are some good cars that either already have mods or are just sporty in general? Nothing above 5k? And yes i have look at all the sporty hondas and i like them, but i want a V6 casue their faster than V4s stock. but yeah like give me some websites or car names to look up on craigslist.
- What are some good and reliable sports cars by these brands? I'm looking to buy a sporty type car from one of the more reliable brands. From what I've heard, Toyota, Honda, Acura, and Hyundai are pretty solid. By good and reliable i mean which cars hold their value the longest, which cars are the least expensive to fix if something did go wrong, etc. I'm just looking for a basic list of some good cars that cost less than 20,000. Obviously not looking for brand new cars
- I'm Missing these few parts in my honda cbr 125 and was wondering where i could find them? Honda Cbr 125r 2008: I can remove the main seat without removing the back seat due to a certain screw missing. I'm not sure what screw it is and i need one soon for when i do my MOT. Also, the screw that holds the rubber bit over the battery is gone, not sure what screw type to get (or even if its a screw haha!). sorry for my noobyness.
- Out of these cars which is the most reliable and at a good price with insurance? This is my first time buying a car and I know I should get each checked by a mechanic, but which would be best for school? And I'm really short like 5'0. I was thinking of 2007-2012 Honda Civic Prius Fiat Mini Cooper
