Automatic car wash damage?
I have a 2014 honda civic ex. I went to quick quack in sacramento ca today. I went through the car wash and went home. When I got home I went to get my cloths from the back. When I went to open the trunk I saw a big chip on the bumper. As if something hit the bumper and gashed it. I just recently bought the car and only drive it to work. I park in a corner and I back up into the parking spot so no one gets near my car. Is it possible to get that type of damage on my bumper?
No on the car wash doing the damage & usually there are signs all over saying NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE! Either a shotty paint job or someone hit you
Hard to say and hard to prove. I never take my car to an automated. Touchless or hand wash only.
- Does shifting in an automatic damage the car? My car (Honda pilot 2011) has a 1/2/3 setting on the car and if I use that while driving will I damage anything? I typically use it when I'm driving for fun and shift it at red line and then shift it back into drive at the end of 3rd gear. My old car was a stick and I miss it but will it hurt the car besides the normal wear and tear?
- Motorcycle no lights/start after wash? I have a 1981 Honda custom 500. Sprayed it at the car wash got it home, no lights and completely dead, won't turn over, charged battery and still nothing. Possibly bad regulator?
- Honda Amaze automatic or Hyundai Xcent automatic? Which would be better purely in terms of performance, acceleration, smooth and fast gearshifts and handling, i mean the better drivers car. I know hondas transmission and engines are great, but is the hyundai as good too? Even though the xcent has only 4 gears, i.e. 1 less than the amaze, it has tiptronic, would this by any chance improve the driving experience? I sadly don't have the opportunity to test drive these cars.
- Will starter from an automatic 2000 Honda civic LX fit on a automatic 2000 Honda civic HX? The lx is a 5 gear transmission and the hx is a CVT transmission. With the starter fit? Mine went out on my hx
