Aux to cassette adapter?

I know it sounds weird, but, I just recently bought a 2007 Honda Civic that has an aux adapter. I used to drive a 95 Explorer that had a cassette tape player, and I used to use a cassette to aux adapter and play music from my phone into it. But, I did use to play some old AC/DC and Lynyrd Skynyrd cassette tapes in my car. I was wanting to know, is there a way I could find an aux to cassette adapter or something like that? I know that's one heck of a long shot, but, I'm just curious. This ain't really a huge kick in the nuts to me as I can just download the albums online and play them through my phone into the aux. But, there's a special feeling you just get with using a cassette tape ya know?

Take a cassette player and connect a cord from the headphone jack to your car's aux jack.

I still have and use a cassette player, its not my main thing i use but its handy for some applications .so yes ABSOLUTELY!

Hi yes the aux can be used just like the old way you used the cassette player it is just an input socket

No as a non-car type cassette will not handle the vibrations

Plug a walkman if you still have one into the aux plug

The AUX input will be higher fidelity than the cassette adapter, which will work only to the limit of the cassette player- if your Civic has a cassette player in it. Go on and try out a cassette adapter and compare that to the AUX input. Either will only be as fine as the source allows. I have an mp3 player that is configured like a cassette and has a remote, but it always plays tracks at random when you stop and restart it. It does sound very good though. It has internal rechargeable batteries and will opearate as a stand alone mp3 layer as well. Lookit: http://geekologie.com/2008/01/mp3-player-looks-and-acts-like.php

If I understand you correctly, what you want is available from thousands of sources.

Get your hands on an old walkman, and a dual 3.5mm wire cable to plug into the walkman's headphone jack and your aux

Like everyone else said take a cassette player with an aux out cord and you're set.

  • 2006 Honda Odyssey aux/xm button not working? Hi, I have a 2006 Odyssey. The aux/xm button has stopped doing anything, regardless of whether an iPod is plugged into the glove-box auxiliary port. When an iPod is plugged in, the iPod shows as charging, but depressing the aux/xm button doesn't load the iPod. The AM, FM, and CD buttons are all working fine.
  • 2005 Honda Odyssey with a 6-disc CD changer, AM, FM, and Aux functions on the stereo. Need Bluetooth Adapter? I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey with a 6-disc CD changer, AM, FM, and Aux functions on the stereo. I need a bluetooth adapter to connect my phone/Mp3 player. All the adapters I have seen require a device to plug into the CD Changer port of the stereo, however I do not want to lose my CD player. Is there a device that will utilize the Aux function, that the only available port for is in the back of the van and therefore not used, to enable bluetooth to the stereo?
