Brakes slowly start to lock up. After time, they release slowly?
If I leave my car sit for hours, the brakes will feel normal. If I drive and use the brakes, eventually the brakes "lock up" (I believe because of the brake fluid not being released from the lines) Would this be a master cylinder malfunction? Or could something be stuck in my lines?
Any estimate on a repair cost? Should I just take it to a shop (I'd hate to be told I have to replace lots of brake parts if it could be solved with a brake system drain or something simple)
The vehicle is a 2001 Honda Civic EX (with ABS)

If someone played with the brake pedal rod adjustment that is exactly what happens. There must be the proper amount of free play in the brake pedal rod. 1/8" to 1/4" is average required free play adjustment. Use your hand to feel if that's what you have. If not shorten the brake pedal rod until you do have free play.
What thebax said plus - I've seen a pretty common problem on Kia's where the rod between the master cylinder and the booster causes exactly the same thing. If you remove the master cylinder without disconnecting the hydraulics you can pull the master cylinder aside and reach into the booster with a pair of pliers and adjust the rod inside it. You need to shorten the rod a tiny bit, many other cars have the same setup.
- Selling a financed car & release of liability? I'm selling a financed vehicle and we're doing a bill of sale and i will user the buyers cash to mail in to Honda for the pay off amount. The buyer will be taking the car until I get the title, but the car will already be paid off with a cashiers check from the buyer( i will be present with buyer when getting check) so my question is do i fill the release of liability when he takes the vehicle with bill of sale? Or when i get the title and send him the title?
- Some kind of pressure release and fog came from my 2008 Honda Civic. What could it be? So my car wouldn't start this morning, mot even the power locks. AAA came out and said it looks to only be a dead battery but, with the car still running, there was a loud sound like a pressure being released and a fog came out from under the car. - Do people realize how much pain they inflict when they scratch the hell out of a car in a parking lot? I worked my *** off to pay for my car. Today, coming out of work. I noticed someone dinged and made a huge scratch to the metal almost on my Honda Civic Si. What's worse is my car is black, so it's very noticeable. The clutch feels backwards now, won't switch gears unless the car is off and the pedal is all the way up. When you start it in gear it will not come out of said gear unless you turn the car off. The clutch pedal will get stuck down and the car will roll in whatever gear you put it in, when putting the clutch pedal down is supposed to release the clutch… It does not
