Yes.
When is the last time you did a tune up? Plugs, wires, etc?
Sure signs of bad head gasket: check your dipstick. Is the oil on the stick creamy/milky? Pull off the oil cap. Is there a milky gunk on the bottom? Is your exhaust white and smell sweet like antifreeze? Check the coolant. Is there oil in it? After driving the car does the coolant boil? All of these are the symptoms of a bad head gasket. Misfires can be many things.
- Would it be, a bad idea for me to try and fix a blown head gasket? Its for a honda. Stock d16 aftermarket rims and is 1500 with a blown head gasket. My dad is the best honda mechanic in my town. He would be guiding me through it. Also the car had 137k miles and good paint. How much would it be worth if it was fixed?
- I have a 98 honda civic ex that only misfires in the morning what could it be? It turns on fine at any other time of the day and once it gets warmed up the misfire also goes away and drives fine. I have.replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, distributor cap. Could some one please help narrow it down to avoid me spending alot of money trying to fix it?
- Can a head gasket sealer fix combustion gases leaking into my cooling system? I have a 2005 Honda Civic that seems to be leaking combustion gases into the cooling system. No external leaks and no signs of oil in coolant, but the car would heat up after a good 30 min drive. Since the vehicle is old, I'm not sure if I want to get an expensive repair or seal it with a head gasket sealer (mainly because i'm not sure if it will actually fix, and if it is good long-term). Any ideas?
- After replacing timing belt, water pump, head gasket on 1992 Honda civic with a d15b7 it shifts harder? Changed the head gasket the other day. Had the head re-done and all. Runs great but shifts up and down harder. Any ideas how to fix this?
