Can a family with low income and gets benefits from the government buy a 3rd car?
My parents both have 2 cars all together…
i wanna buy a honda civic from a friend of mines for $11,000, i've been working and saving all my life… I'm 17 years old and live in delaware!
my mom said that i can't because the government will take away benefits, also i'm buying in cash not leasing for the government
Your mom is wrong. There's no law against having a third car.
Since you are a minor and you have your own income, if you live with your family, your income may be calculated as part of the family income--and any assets you acquire with that money could be cause to reduce your family's benefits. It wouldn't matter if you pay cash or not. Check with the agency who is providing these benefits--you don't say what kind they are, so I can't tell you who to contact--and ask them if you can buy your own car. You may be able to do that without affecting your family's benefits at all. Just call them and ask.
Not idea what benefits your mother could be talking about - and unless you have $11000 in cash, you won't be buying it - then you have ongoing costs of car insurance, gas, oil changes, annual inspections
- Which income category do I fall into? 40 year old male. I only have about $9000 in my bank account. Drive a Honda SUV. Income, depends on the gig because I have my own office. Am I a low income, middle class or high class? I'm getting $3000-$4000 a month without any benefits like health insurance or dentals. I live in North California.
- What's the most reliable low-cost car I can buy in the 2-4k pricerange? So, after several horrific car experiences with repairs and maintenance I simply couldnt afford to keep up with, I'm seeking suggestions for the most reliable car I can get in my price range of $2,000-$4,000 dollars. My initial thoughts were maybe A late 90s early 00s Honda with around 100k (or less?).
- How can I stop water from flowing back into my Honda WB30 Water Pump 1100 LPM 80mm Outlet when the heavy duty hose attached gets blocked? I have a 1000l take of water attached to a Honda WB30 Water Pump 1100 LPM 80mm Outlet, alongside a heavy duty hose I use to water window boxes around London. When I park up the van and have to cross the road to water certain jobs, the pipe is occasionally temporarily blocked when a car runs over the hose pipe. This sends water back to the pump, and eventually breaks it. What can I do to stop the water/ pressure breaking the pump?
- Are me and my family paying too much for auto insurance? Our total every 6 months is $2,055. I'm 20 years old and drive a 2015 Silverado LTZ V8 crew cab truck and my mom drives a honda pilot 2015. We're paying about $343 a month on car insurance is that too high for a 20 year old and a 46 year old?
