Can i put a b18b1 engine in my 1998 honda civic lx?
My friend is giving me his b18b1 honda engine. I have a 1998 honda civic lx with a blown engine. Can i put his engine into my car or no? I don't know much about cars so sorry if i don't have much information.
Yes you can, you would need motor mounts, hydraulic transmission mounts, b series axles, b series shift linkages, the proper ecu for your engine and the b18b1 wiring harness. You also need the engine to be obd2 and you need a hydraulic transmission. The engine has to be the same year or newer as the chassis in order for the swap to be legal.
Better have pros do this for you since you don't know much about cars.
