Can I put a Honda 1.7L D17A, SOHC VTEC Engine in my 2002 Honda Civic DX?
My civic is very basic without VTEC, This isn't it's original engine type as it had a regular 1.7L 4cyl SOHC but I know they are fairly similar. Will my car run on the VTEC?
Yes you can, it will fit. But the ECU and wiring harness will need to be which out also.

- Upgrading 300,000 miles SOHC engine? I want to upgrade my hondas SOHC 1.6 ltr engine with new pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, displacement, engine head, valves and springs, cam gears, connecting rods, fuel system, and a small stage 1 turbo but the engine has 300,000 miles in it. If i upgrade it anyway, will it make the engine newer, or will i have to replace it either way?
