Can I put my 89 pontiac fiero engine (I'm not sure what kind it is but its fast) into my 91 honda civic wagon?

What… Drop in a b series. Or do an h2b swap… Jesus Christ what is happening too the honda crowd

There's no Fiero produced for 1989. Pontiac cancelled the Fiero for the 1989 year because it had become more powerful than the Corvette (GM's top product). The only 3 that made it were crushed so there's none in existence anywhere. You're must be mistaken for other years.

With enough money and mechanically knowledge, anything can be done. I've heard that people put an LS1 engine into Civic. Plenty of modification/ Fabrication at the cost from $25K upward to $50K.

There are many better and realistic to make your Civic a "Sleeper" with a much lesser cost than install a 2.5L/2.8L Fiero engine. Have you ever seen a Civic with a K series engine in it? (With a completed conversion)

Do some searching and you'll find the answer. HTH

Yes, any engine can be put into any car if you have deep enough pockets. My advice? Buy a turbo kit for your stock engine and call it a day. For 1500 bucks you'll have a quick little car.

Absolutly not! Its impossible 1) 1988 Fiero last production year 2) the 2.8L v-6 mounted in the rear on a trans-axle 3) your honda is a front engine trans axle car 4) the fiero although equipt with tie -rods is incapable of steering should you care to research the motor specs. Under the coil and heat-shield are the motor reference numbers which i recommend, before you try to list it

If you have about $20,000-$50,000 cash to burn, yes.

It will be way slower than if you put $6000 into a good civic engine and probably handle like junk and be worth almost nothing when complete.

  • Want to install better car stereo but am confused how to make sure what I buy will fit into my car? Confused? I want to install a new stereo system in my car and see those cars out there with the big screens on their stereos and I want something like that, but I have a 1993 honda civic and am honestly confused on how I would buy something like that and it would fit into the dash of my car. Do I have to buy something the exact same size? Do they come with speakers too? Can anyone give me any ideas on where to start. I'm really confused.
  • Can a 16.L engine fit into a 1998 Honda Civic LX? (before doing engine swap)? I had an blown motor on my 1998 Honda Civic LX, I have new spark plugs, distributor cap and some other items, however, since the old spark plugs happened to be melted as well, I have no option other to do a engine swap. I've been doing some research, and it seems like I only have the 1.6L engine as a option. By the way, the blown motor is a D16Y8, and is automatic.
  • Does the honda 600rr have its transmission in its engine? I bought a used honda 600 and it has a transmission problem. I went to a repair shop and he said they can't fix it because they have to completely disassemble the engine and that is a mess. Is it true and did he just say that because he doesn't want to do it?
  • Won't start not sure if water pump needs replacing or needs new engine? 2004 Honda civic DX 1.7L engine 155k? My car won't start i had to press the gas really hard to get it going before but now it started smoking(white) from under the hood and smelling burnt every time we try and start it up. I saw leaking under the car. Probably the coolant because its blue. Not sure if a new water pump and timing belt would do the job and or if we need to swap the entire engine. Before this I noticed that the engine would get hot or shut off whenever we stopped moving and finally this happened.
