Can i use a P235/60R 16 tire on a car with P205/55R 16 tires?

I have a 2001 Honda Civic and it currently has P205/55R 16" tires on it. I need to know if I can run P235/60 R 16 " tires?

Likely NO, they are quite a bit taller and will throw your speedometer off and rub on the front.

No .apart from the fact the wheel may not be suitable to take a tyre that wide… The tyre is 30mm wider. And with your replacement the sidewalls are more than 28mm taller… To get lower sidewall you need at least a 50 sidewall. This is 5mm taller

Won't fit

You're best to stick with the tire size that came on the car as original equipment. Changing to a taller tire MAY have undesirable effects on the cars handling and braking. Find the placard (sticker) on the driver's door frame and get the tires that are called for.

Nope. A 235/60R16 sized tire is both too wide and too tall for your 2001 Civic. Even if it could fit your stock Honda rims such a tire would cause all kinds of problems for your handling, stability and control. Simply not useable.
