Car is dying? Need new form of transportation? Think bank will give me a loan?
The trans on my car is going out and needs more $ in repair than its worth. We don't have bus service out here and no o e can drive me to work. Work is 30 mins away by car. Do you think the bank would at least lend me 3 grand to get a reliable scooter? I don't have any credit, I've never taken out loans or used a credit card and the dealership won't let me make payments because I don't have credit or a cosigner. I'm so tired of cheap used cars capping out in me (this is the 3rd I 3 years, one honda civic, one camry, and now this sentra) at this point I rather get a small new honda scooter and just deal with the rain instead of not being sure if my car is even going to run when I get in it. I never need to go more than about 35 mph anyway. Do you think my bank would give me a loan?
You can buy a car without credit.
How much do you make a year? 50 grand? And all you want is a loan for 3 grand? At the job for 10 years?

It all depends on your credit score, history with the bank, etc. You can try to start an online campaign to get the money for it. I had to deal with a loan shark at one point just to get my car straight b ecause I had to deal with identity theft and it left me completely messed up.

You can't get a loan without good credit and a full time job. Or a strong cosigner who has both.
- Will a car dealership work with me if I'm gonna lease a new car, while trading in the car I have, which has an outstanding loan against it? The car I have now has a loan against it which is worth more than the trade in value of the car by about $5000. If me and a family member were BOTH looking to lease a new car (so 2 new cars), does anyone know if a dealership will be working to work with me in any way? Also the cars looking to be leased are not high end or luxury cars, they d be coming from a dealership like Honda, Toyota, or Subaru.

- Has anyone registered a motorcycle in California using the Application for Paperless Title form? I'm looking to buy a an old 1980 Honda C70 on Craigslist and the the seller does not have the title. I'm not entirely worried about the bike being stolen and will have the VIN checked before purchase. However there's no title and we will be using this form -http://www.dmv.ca.gov/forms/reg/reg227.pdf with a Bill of Sale. Has anyone actually ever done this? I don't wan to purchase the bike, only to find that there's some requirement to obtain the title with this form…
