Car ran fine then wouldn't start, got a jump, now everything is fine again. What happened?
'03 Honda Civic. Last 30 mins of work I sat in my car with the A/C on full blast and radio on, like I do everyday (and of course the car is running). I stopped at Subway after work. The car was parked for 10 mins.
After the car would not start but the radio and dash board lights would come on, but it would not crank.
Got a jump from AAA.
Afterwards Auto Zone tested the battery and alternator, both passed.
I has been a week now and no problems.
What the heck could have happened?
Dirty or loose cables
- I have a 2015 Honda rancher that had a crack in the air box. It got so much dirt through the air filter it got into my piston. So it now Burns oil and I was wonder will it ever stop smoking. I know I have to rebuild the engin so don't even say it. And how long will it take before it losses power.
- My 1995 Honda civic 1.5L recently wouldn't start an hour after a common commute? The fuel and air are not the problem. I'm not getting a spark. The engine cranks but will not start. I have already replaced the ignition control module and have tested the ignition coil. I don't believe it is anything to do with timing because it has no problems with skipping and such. Without replacing the entire distributer what else could be the problem?
- 1991 Honda Civic si 1.6 L manual transmission. Cars stalls while running and won't start back up, I have to wait for two hrs to start again? I recently replaced these prior to problem "starter, fuel pump, battery, distributor, cables, fuel filter, also replaced ignition switch and still have the same issue please somebody help I will appreciate thanks
- My 1999 Honda Accord car just died on me. Radio was still playing but car wouldn't move? Prior to car dying on me, the key signal was blinking, but key wasn't loose or out of ignition. Stopped at a red light, then as light turned green and I tried to accelerate, NOTHING happened. Didn't move forward. I calmly turned emergency signal on so car behind can pass me, put car in park and turned ignition twice before it started and proceeded driving. No check engine light, no other light came on dash. What happened?
