Changed fuel pump and filter in a 1988 honda civic with a d15 won't start now?
Then the replacement wasn't done properly, it should be installed the same as the parts before that were replaced and of course the parts must be compatible. Possibly the the parts are not compatible or the wireing of the pump is not as it has to be, possibly the filter hasn't fit exactly it its place or is wrong too.
the engine didn't run while the fuel pump and filter was changed, that means there can't be suddenly a damage out of nowhere as the engine stands still, it must be something that is directly linke with the pump and the filter. The pump is more complex than the filter and what is complex has more possibilities to have an error.
if the the engine doesn't start, the problem is not the fuel pump and not the filter either.
- I have a Honda HRX217 push mower. Backfired when trying to start it, now it won't start? It was running, then I shut it off to open and close a gate, and when I went to start it again there was a really loud backfire and now it won't start. It will sound like it's almost about to start but not. Then get progressively weaker each pull. I changed the spark plug and cleaned the air filter. Any ideas?

My car won't start i had to press the gas really hard to get it going before but now it started smoking(white) from under the hood and smelling burnt every time we try and start it up. I saw leaking under the car. Probably the coolant because its blue. Not sure if a new water pump and timing belt would do the job and or if we need to swap the entire engine. Before this I noticed that the engine would get hot or shut off whenever we stopped moving and finally this happened.

I changed my spark plugs yesterday, same brand and number plugs, and ot ran fine for the day, then i go to start it today anf it will turn over but will not start, my gauges will shake, and my odometer says Trip AB 000000 which ove never seen before, any ideas?
- 93 Honda civic won't crank and fuel pump won't prime? My 93 honda civic dx will not crank and I can't hear the fuel pump prime either. The battery is brand new. All lights and dash lights work. The main relay has been replaced and I've checked all the fuses. What else could be the problem?
