Clicking noise in my car?
I have a Honda Civic ex 2002. When I turn my car on it don't make no noise, but when the car start moving in make a ticking noise and when I press the brake it stop. What could it be?
More than likely a common issue with these is your CV axle. Roughly 300.00 repair at a privately owned shop(not a dealership)
It's probably just your antilock brakes. They make a rapid fire rumbling sound when they're activated. If it sounds more like a metal scraping against metal, then you need new brake pads.
It could be spark knock, or knocking under load, hot weather pinging… Knocking under load, you won't hear in idle, you hear when you give it gas and it usually will not do it in neutral while getting gas… Its got to have a load. Ticking/knocking/pinging noises are very often described interchangeably with the wrong onomonopiea by laymen. You may be hearing knock, not tick.
Rust build up on the rotor edges.
- 03 Honda Pilot, clicking sound in steering column? When I press the brake, while in park, I hear a click in the steering column. It also clicks when I take my foot off the brake after putting in park and the vehicle does the normal roll back or forward depending on incline. Should I be concerned? It doesn't happen any other time.
- We have a 2006 Honda CBR. When you drive it, there's a loud whirring noise coming the back underneath side. What could cause that noise? The noise is situated around a CV boot on the left underneath side where the differential connects to the middle.
- Honda Rebel makes clicking/grinding noise when shifted into gear I was driving it just fine until my rpms went high and it rolled to a stop. Could not get it to move. When I shift into first it makes a grinding noise and it won't even stall if I use the clutch incorrectly. Anyone know what it is?
- Why does my car make a clicking noise when I start it? I have a 1997 Honda Civic Hatchback with a D16Y8 and it makes a clicking noise when i start it but then it goes away. What could it be? Is my engine blown? I checked the dipstick and it has a good amount of oil. Car is not throwing smoking or leaking oil. I'm scared my engine is blown…
