Do steel rims have wheel locks?

I have a 2016 Honda Civic and am unsure if my vehicle has wheel locks. I'm guessing no because of the steel rims but I want to be sure because I need to change my tires soon.

Just look at them.

Just look at them. If one is a different shape or has a key hole in the middle, it has a wheel lock. But you should have the adapter in the tool kit. Better yet, check the manual!

Having or not having wheel locks is 100% unrelated to rims.

If you state the year, make and model of the vehicle, someone can research if the vehicle left the factory with wheel locks. To determine if your vehicle CURRENTLY has wheel locks, someone needs to LOOK at the wheels.
Wheel locks are available for ALL vehicles and can be replaced with 'normal' lug nuts on any vehicle.

You won't know till you go out there and take a look it's not a general rule of thumb some have wheel locks some of them don't you better go out there and take a look

Generally no - since people don't typically steal them.

You can always pop a hubcap off and see if one of the lugs is different.

If you need us to tell you if your wheels have locks on them, post a picture of your car's lugs. By the way, you can add wheel locks to any kind of wheels. Car part stores sell those.

Never seen a lock, even with alloy wheels for mainstream cars like yours.

It would be very obvious it if does, Frank.

Look for a wheel lug which looks similar to this.

Steel rims do not have wheel locks, or any type of locks on them for that matter.

But you can install wheel locks on any type of wheel, including steel rims if you wish.
