Do you think I should sell my car?
I'm debating on doing it. Here is my situation.
I'm selling my 2009 corolla for 8k. It has 63k miles.
I have some things I need to pay for such as finishing my tattoo, microdermabrasion, medical things that aren't a necessity, and college emergency funds as well as a trip to India.
I'm buying a honda civic with 146k miles on it. I drive about 16k miles a year. I need this car to last me until I'm out of college and go to South Korea to teach English. So it's going to be four years.
All I need is a car to last me four years and the extra money would help me immensely. Is this something that I should do? The honda civic is in great condition and I would keep up maintenance.
You have needs and wants confused. Do what you need to.
I sure wouldn't do it for frivolous things like a tattoo or cosmetics. If you said you'd bank the money I might agree with you, but for this, no way. Too much risk and besides it's hard to hitch a ride if you're covered in tattoos.
- Do you have to sell your motorcycle if you plan to move from Colorado to New York? I have a Honda CB500F motorcycle that I love but it is too far to drive. If I decide take it with me, I have to drive twice since I have a car too. If you were me, would you sell the motorcycle before you leave or drive twice?
- I sell cars for 1800$ or less but the taxes are almost here could I sell this car for 3000$? It's a 2004 Suzuki Verona 159,000 miles Automatic It's in exelent condition no problems But do you think I'll get 3000$ for it? Most people usually want a honda or Toyota
- Do you think if they call a car a Sport model it should go fast? I remember when I think the Honda Fit/Jazz was called the "Sport model" and it got criticised for having soft suspension. These days "Sport" is used in most cars is used on the one with the most features and not fast cars very much. Should the ones with the most features be calling something else rather than sports?
- Did you know that Philippines is so poor that if you own a car people will think you're rich? I live in the Philippines and I own a 2013 Honda Fit and I sometimes drive it when I go to the University, it's not even expensive. And my friends think I'm rich. Most people here only use underbone motorcycles for transportation, most families don't even own a car.
