Does the 2004 Honda Civic Lx have good gas mileage? (Read description)?
It has 27 MPG City, and 34 MPG highway. I found a used one for a good price but would like to know if it's worth the buy. It's not and SUV or crossover. It's a small regular compact car, thanks.
The initial quality and reliability of the 2004 Honda Civic LX was outstanding. Great fuel economy as well. It's it still worth the buy? That would entirely depend on whether or not the Civic has been fully and properly serviced and maintained the last 14 years. Has it? Make the seller show you proof that it has.
That vehicle will get at least the mpg rated by the EPA if! It's maintained properly… You should have a mechanic do a complete inspection before buying ( cost is around $100 )… I had a Hyundai with a 4 cylinder and was getting 35 - 40 mpg
That Civic got good gas mileage compared to most cars built in 2004. Today however, most midsize sedans (Camry, Accord, Malibu, Altima, Sonata, Optima etc.,) with 4 cylinder engines can meet or exceed that '04 Civic's gas mileage (especially on the highway) and just about any compact car like the Civic or any of its competitors from the last couple of years will usually beat that '04 Civic's gas mileage pretty handily as well. But you could certainly also do much worse than a car that gets 27/34… Good luck.
Yes, a good car. But be careful how much you pay
- Why does my car get unusually good gas mileage than normal? It's a 98 Honda Civic. I do 2 hours of Combined city and highway driving for 5-6 days a week. I kinda have a heavy foot, the rims are 1" bigger than stock and the car is due for it's next tune up this coming Monday. The car is rated at 28mpg combined when it was shiny back in 1998, and when I calculated mine i got 32 mpg combined, my calculation isn't wrong either as i have an mpg calculator
- What's the best automatic Honda Civic 1996-98 model (ex. Dx.lx. Etc) as far as gas mileage and reliability? I was interested in the 96-98 hx cvt civic yet there are many complaints of heavy vibrations when stalling. Also I can't drive manual and can't afford to take lessons
- Why is my 2000 Honda Civic dx I drive fine and normal not hot rodding it except one time I got on it with the gas and it read that the car? Was almost over heated but it has brand new radiator and hoses could it have been just got hotter than usual or could it need a new water pump or a temperature switch
- Trump wants to freeze gas mileage standards put in place by Obama, does that mean I will be able to find a new car without a crummy CVT? Who wants to buy a new vehicle with a rubber band tranny? My brother was duped into buying a leftover 2018 Honda Accord with a CVT, there were no leftover Accords with a 10 speed tranny. He said the Honda salesman never mentioned the CVT, I wonder why? The salesman saw a sucker coming into the dealership from a mile away. Trump/Pence 2020.
