Give me a solution to my car s A/C problem?
I have a 1998 Honda Civic LX and my A/C switch isn't fully working. It has 4 temperature ranges. Number 1 and 2 stop working a long time ago and now the A/C only works on the highest settings which are 3 and 4. How do I fix it so I can get 1 and 2 working again?
Sounds to me like the blower motor resistor is bad. Whenever certain fan speeds go out that's a pretty good hunch. Also, you'll want to look at the connector on the resistor. If it's burnt then replace it too.
Hi so what do you expect a now 19 years old car to be capable of is the real issue here.
designed to last 8 years mechanically beyond which it is all down to luck.
Replace the switch. They aren't repairable.
I'm guessing this is the fan settings, to get this working should be pretty straight forward, fit a new resistor block, it should be fitted, bolted to the side of the A/C venting behind the glove box
Blower motor could be worn out.So new fan motor.
There's a rheostat inside the switch. It can't be repaired. That's blown. It's time for a new one, replacement is the answer.
- My dealer didn't give me a wheel lock nut key? It is almost a year since I bought by car from the honda dealer, today I notice. I never got a wheel lock nut key. Is it too late to call them?
- What motorcycle will give me a similiar ride to my 750 Shadow but bigger? I learned to ride on a 2007 Honda Shadow VT750C2F and now I'm looking to go bigger. I love almost every detail about my Shadow; tire size, spokes, driveshaft, handling, width, engine look and feel etc. However, in my next bike I want a bigger gas tank, more cubic cenimeters (inches) and I want to sit a bit higher on the hog (pun intended). 6 speed would be nice but mostly I want the look, feel and reliability of my Shadow in an 1100cc+. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
- How many miles per gallon does a motorcycle give? Much cheaper than a car? Some idio actually said a while back that a motorcycle doesn't really give that many more miles per gallon than a car! This honda Rebel gives 84 miles per gallon! http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/...l-250.aspx And an msrp of only $4000 makes it a steal! Plus the legendary reliability of a honda!
