Penetrating oil, and a long pipe on the end of the lug wrench.

Scaffold pole on the end of the wrench, to give extra leverage. Might have to take a blowtorch to them, if that won't budge them

Woman using a lug wrench to remove a car tire on the side of a road… (and difficult) enough, but when the wheel is stuck and you can't get it off your… You have the lug nuts off, otherwise, that wheel's not going anywhere… Back and forth a couple of times, your wheel should be much looser… Safety Tips.

Long handled breaker bar with heavy duty 6-point socket and a "cheater", which is a 3-4 foot length of heavy wall steel or iron pipe that will slide over the handle. In other words, you need leverage.

Get some of that stuff you spray from an auto parts store (or WD40), spray it in there really good, and stand on the tire iron. Hang on to the car so you don't fall if it gives.

Get a longer handle and apply steady pressure. Do not bank or jerk the wrench.
It's all to do with leverage, the longer the lever the more power is transferred. As others have said, a hollow tube slipped over the end of your wrench handle usually works

As a last resort, you can saw off the lugs and replace them.

Heat the lug nuts with an oxyacetylene torch and use a 3 foot breaker bar.

Yea, it's important for me too.

  • Honda Civic having a hard time warming up? I drive a 2008 Civic LX and when its 10 degrees fahrenheit or colder the engine has to sit about 5-10 minutes warming up! If I wait just several minutes the car won't fully warm up til about 20-25 minutes later driving at 35-60mph. ALSO the car oftentimes gets colder, say I'm coasting or just driving 45 through town the temp gauge loses "temperature". Is there anything to worry about? My Volkswagen always warmed up within a few miles and stayed "warm".
