Having the A/C on when car is cold?

2003 honda civic EX
Alright so it's summer time and when I get my car on I have the A/C on right away and the car is cold is that bad for my car? In any way or will it just take longer to warm up?

Not an issue. The A/C compressor is run of a belt attached to the crank. That engine is running at 1k rpm or so at start up it won't affect the engine by much you will lose overall power but slightly. And the old thing of cars needing warmed up is long gone now with newer cars it takes less than a minute for a car to get actually going and 10-15 minutes to reach operating temperature. So you are fine.

It's not bad at all, its just a belt that spins off your engine crank pulley. No harm is done at all

  • Why doesn't my car start when its cold out? I have a Honda civic LX 2001 during cold mornings it doesn't start when its 10-15 Fahrenheit. • My Car is having a weird sound occurring? Recently i been having a weird cranking dry sound occur, when i either turn right/left on the right front tire side, i was thinking it can be the axle since it is a front wheel drive car, i own a Honda Civic LX 1993 am transmission. Previous owners have tried to solve the problem, as you can see no luck. Any suggestions or assumptions that can be the problem solution or the component making this happen, can it be suspension or the chassis defect from the manufacturer?
