I have a Honda Civic Es1 Year 2001 automatic. I hear noise when driving on uneven roads. My mechanic said that it's the steering box, and that it needs to be replaced. But it's quite expensive. Is there any way to repair it?
Nope. Only way to fix that is replacing.
Steering box should make noise all the time uneven roads or not. Get a second opinion
- We have a 2006 Honda CBR. When you drive it, there's a loud whirring noise coming the back underneath side. What could cause that noise? The noise is situated around a CV boot on the left underneath side where the differential connects to the middle.
- Will starter from an automatic 2000 Honda civic LX fit on a automatic 2000 Honda civic HX? The lx is a 5 gear transmission and the hx is a CVT transmission. With the starter fit? Mine went out on my hx
- Newer Honda Civic idle low/uneven - would fuel system cleaner All of a sudden I keep noticing that the idle on my Civic is low or uneven and it seems like it might stall out sometimes. I'm wondering what different things it could be and could it possibly help to use on of those additives that supposedly clean the fuel system.
- I own a 2004 Honda civic and when I start my car I hear a whining/noise coming from my engine? This only occurs when I first start up my car in the morning. When I turn the steering wheel the noise gets louder. The noise continues while at low speeds but after I got about over 30mph the noise stops and won't make a sound anymore.
