Honda civic 01 is overheating?
It has coolant/freezon. At first itll start over heating when I turn the a/c on now after 30 mins of driving it'll start to overheat. What can it be.
Thermostat is sticking or the radiator is clogged.
First of all the AC has nothing to do with it overheating! Start by changing the thermostat and then flush out the cooling sysyem, especially the radiator! Also make sure the radiator fan is kicking on!
I told you yesterday…
Is your condenser fan coming on with the AC? If not, there's the reason. If it is, either you have air blockage at the radiator/condenser, or a failing expansion valve, compressor or blockage in the AC system causing pressures too be too high.
- Why is my 1998 Honda civic lx still overheating? I've replaced the thermostat, water pump, timing belt, flushed the radiator and done a coolant test to check for gasses and all is good. The fan is wire up so it automatically comes on when ignition is turned on and is blowing the correct way. Do I need to try a new radiator cap or radiator? Engine light is on but it's for a 02 sensor. Any help is appreciated.
- I'm driving a 96 honda civic and my car has been shaking and overheating? I have check for leaks and everything is fine but i do have a rusted spark plug, i'm wondering if that may be the cause of shaking and excessive overheating to the point i'm driving with the heater on all the time. Can anyone let me know if the spark plug is the problem and if i replace this one rusted plug will the car drive back normally?
- My Honda Civic keeps overheating and accelerates very slow? I have Honda Civic 98 EX coupe, and it overheats very quick, i replaced a leaking hose, i got the headgasket replaced, a new thermostate and it still overheats, the car also doesn't accelerate at the rate it should, i could have my foot flooring the gas pedal but it will take forever to eve reach 60 mph.
- My 2001 Honda Civic is overheating and I can't figure out why? I have replaced the radiator cap, coolant reservoir, and thermostat. Also, I check the fans at various times and everytime they are running fine. Lastly, I'm not sure if this information helps, but I live in southern Louisiana where it is almost always hot. I'm a poor 25 year old female college student and I have no idea what else to do.
