Honda civic 2007 or pontiac grand prix 2003?
I have two options right now and I'm really not sure what to go for. Please help me choose. What do you think? I have read a lot of bad reviews on the honda civic 2007 but read some good reviews on the pontiac. Although people say honda is more relaible and better at gas consumption. Please advice me
Hi alan has given you the best answer honda cars if well maintained never give any problems. It is the lack of maintenance is usually the cause of problems.
Civic is the way to go. They don't make Pontiacs anymore for a reason. Civic gas mileage is much better.
You're asking about a 7 and 11 year old cars here… Much of their future reliability is directly related to how each example has been driven and maintained in the past.
Very generally speaking though, I'd take the Honda over the Pontiac but I would still closely examine each vehicle first to see which one of these examples is currently in better shape. What I would also consider, which you have not mentioned, is the mileage and asking price of both vehicles.
Honda Civic
Hi yes well to throw in more info to my question.here ia some info… The pontiac has only 112000km and the asking price is 2500 dollars
The honda has 140000km on it and asking price is 4700 dollars.
The pontaic is really in good decent shape better than the honda
The honda is not that bad the engine rattles a bit the cabin is noisy when driving unlike the pontiac is so quiet
Go with the pontiac. Honda fan boys don't turn wrenches and don't know anything about cars, don't fall into the whole japanese is better lie. The pontiac is every bit as good a car as a honda, cheaper to repair and lower cost to buy
The Honda is usually the way to go. However you said it was rattling and the cabin is loud. That usually signifies lack of care, or over stress due to racing, or both. The Pontiac you said was smooth. However older, the asking price is a lot less and it sounds like you would be getting more for less. My advice is to buy the Pontiac, even though fuel mileage may be less.
PONTIAC is a DEAD COMPANY and you may have trouble getting parts for it! GM went DOWN for good reasons, and ENGINEERING is one of them! The PONCHO has a reliable buy ENERGY WASTING power train and is NOISIER by far! GET SOMETHING ELSE like a NISSAN or TOYOTA first! Gm is STILL in legal trouble and wil be so for SEVERAL MORE YEARS!

And if I were to do the muffler delete what would be the cheapest most effective way to do it. I'm on a very tight budget so preferably DIY.
