Honda Civic D16Y7 swap to B18B1 LS This is just a simple question for those of you that have done it?

After the swap could you tell the difference between the two? Was it a noticeable difference for you or was it more like just a little bit more power and didn't seem worth it at all. I love my 2000 Honda Civic and it's treated me good with little to no trouble but it's old with 240K miles and I'm thinking of either rebuilding the D16 or my friend is selling me a B18 with the trans for 300 plus he'll also do swap for me for little to no money compared to a shop. I was thinking of getting a B16 VTEC head with high comp pistons but I'm still new to all this and don't know if I'll noticed much of a difference in power. I will be doing more research but wanted to know what you guys thought about the B18 swap

It is 2019. It is time for the 2019 Honda Civic Si Type R. 320 hp out of the factory. No mods required.

Life is short. Spend your time driving, not turning wrenches in the garage.

HI so as we say time to get a LIFE and buy a newer CAR

  • Simple repairs to make car fast again? 1986 Honda prelude, carbourated, 5 speed. My friend had it a while ago and he said it was very fast when he originally had it, about a year ago. When I drive it it seems to have very little power, it accelerates really really slow. I was wondering if there's any simple repairs I can do to make it a little faster besides a tune up?
  • Just bought a new Honda, when should the first oil change be done? Just bought a new Honda Pilot. Owner's manual says it comes with a special break-in oil from the factory but no mention of the mileage it should be changed. So when should I change it?
  • My 2000 honda d16y7 is only making 30 psi when compressing is that bad? I probably need a new engine right? My 2000 honda d16y7 is only making 30 psi when compressing is that bad? i probably need a new engine right?
  • Is maintenance for a Honda XR650L easy and simple? I ask because I want to buy one for a daily user. Is maintenance the same like a regular motorcycle? Example: More/less frequent oil changes. I wanted the L because c mon, That back hasn't changed mechanically speaking since 92 so you know that s solid engineering. I've owned and still ride an 88 route 66 for 3 years, done my regular oil change 3000miles, lube job, etc. So would it be the same? More work, less work. How s it looking?
