Honda civic needs work done. Garage asking for excessive price
Both front shocks are leaking fluid
Both top mount & bearings need replacing
Both anti roll bar linkages have excessive play
To do this job they have quoted £600. Is that excessive or fairly priced?

Is that too much? Would you do that much work for less? Shop around and see if any shop is cheaper.
Find out if Monroe makes quick struts for your vehicle. They are ready to just bolt right in with all new parts included. I charge $75 per strut to install them. The stabilizer links are another $25 each to install. You do the math.
- My 2007 Honda Element has a mint body and interior and under 64,000 miles but due to its age it needs about 4k in work, here is the list New tires, front struts with dust boots and bump stops, rear shocks, alignment, water pump, universal belt, front lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends, timing side engine mount, rear brakes, flush and bleed the system and emergency brake adjustment. Should I do the work and keep it due to low miles and good eyeball condition?

- Won't start not sure if water pump needs replacing or needs new engine? 2004 Honda civic DX 1.7L engine 155k? My car won't start i had to press the gas really hard to get it going before but now it started smoking(white) from under the hood and smelling burnt every time we try and start it up. I saw leaking under the car. Probably the coolant because its blue. Not sure if a new water pump and timing belt would do the job and or if we need to swap the entire engine. Before this I noticed that the engine would get hot or shut off whenever we stopped moving and finally this happened.
