Honda Civic Si vs Mitsubishi Lancer GTS?

Need a car for school, looking for something reliable under 10k.

Both are Japanese so they will be reliable, I would say buy the newer one just because it will probably have less problems. I believe the lancer is safer so I would go with the lancer.

  • How did Mitsubishi compare to Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, and Mazda in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's? I remember back in the early 2000's, I used to see many Mitsubishi's being driven. Now, I hardly see them around. Was Mitsubishi, generally, as good as the other car-makes mentioned above, in terms of general customer-satisfaction (fuel-efficiency, reliability, etc.)? In the US
  • Will a Honda head unit fit in a Mitsubishi? I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. I recently purchased a Pioneer aftermarket head unit off of Amazon (1 DIN) and all the installation kits that I see at Pepboys, Autozone, etc are all for cars of makes with Honda/Acura, General Motors, etc. Will a Honda (same year) single DIN installation kit fit in my 03 galant? Or do I have to get a specific fitment for my car?
  • Engine oil for a Mitsubishi Outlander 2013? I know the recommended oil for my Mitsu is the 10W30 (The dealership's mecanic told me). It only have 14k km and soon I will need an oil change. I live in panama so the average Temp would be anywhere from 75-100+ F. I want to try a 0W-30 because the engine is way to noisy compared to my Honda CRV.

I'm a 18 and a male I have been driving a 2006 honda civic hybrid for 2 years no accidents and I'm looking to upgrade to either a mk4 toyota supra or a 96-99 mitsubishi eclipse.
