Honda Civic window won't roll up?

All why windows have had a noticeable decrease in power over the last year. Passenger win stopped working few months ago now drivers side win have just enough power to roll down but no power to roll up more than an inch.

Is this the motors/wires/alt-battery

Honda Civic LX 4 door 130,000 miles

Windows motors can get weaker with age and not have enough power to roll the window up… Or the window guide tracks and regulator need lubrication to make them work easier. Try removing the door trim panels and lubricate the regulator/tracks with WD-40 or spray lithium grease and then see if that helps. If not then likely you need new window motors.

It's also possible that the motors are not getting full power from the circuit due to wiring issues… Check for proper voltage/amperage/resistance at the motor wiring and check for frayed wiring if voltage is low or high resistance in the circuit. A common problem is that the circuit wiring that runs between the body and door at the hinge pillar for the power window circuits can get frayed and break from the action of opening/closing doors… Moreso on the front or drivers doors since they get most of the use. Check the wiring inside the rubber boot between the door and body/hinge pillar.repair as needed with splicing or reconnecting bad ends if frayed or broken.

  • Passenger side window won't go up after radio stolen? Recently my car was stolen about a week later we found the car and the only thing really missing was the radio which had been stolen. The window of the passenger side was also all the way down. Now, it won't go back up. Any ideas what could happened or how to fix it? I'm thinking it had something to do with the stolen radio and maybe a cable or something getting disconnected? The car is a 1996 Honda Civic with power windows. Checked the fuses and they are good.
