Honda lying about engine block crack?
I had issues with my honda regarding a crack. I heard that Honda would have covered my civic because 2006-2009 had problems with the blocks cracking. It was also said most places that work on them would say the motors went out because of water pump failing, which is what I was told my issue was. What do you think?
Ever think of going to the source, as in the DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT?!
What did I've told you? Read my answer to you four days ago:
If you have read into the inserted link in the answer above then the proof to Honda that you have a coolant leak due to a crack coolant passage is by performing a simple cooling system pressure test.
Honda is not lying to you if the water pump was leaking and when the technician performed the pressure test: Guess what external leak he saw first?: The water pump!
NOW: Does the car still have coolant lost problem? Do the cooling system pressure test and find out if the pressure drop due to the cooling passage crack. Re-read my old answer in the link above, including the inserted link that contain the answer I've given to another member. That's all you have to prove to Honda. HTH
- Where on the engine block would I put a thermometer for a quadbike? I have a Honda 350D and the fan thermostat has broken, rather than spending money replacing the unit I'm looking to wire the fan into a switch. I have also purchased a digital thermometer which I plan to wire in, but I need to place the receiver on the engine block, but which part do I connect it to, top end, or radiator and if so top of the radiator or bottom? (oil cooled).
- I have a 2015 Honda rancher that had a crack in the air box. It got so much dirt through the air filter it got into my piston. So it now Burns oil and I was wonder will it ever stop smoking. I know I have to rebuild the engin so don't even say it. And how long will it take before it losses power.
- How much should it cost to fix a tiny crack in the back of someone's car? I was getting off the high and accidentally hit my friends car in front of me. I basically just rolled into her so i was not going very fast. When we looked at the damage all we could find was a tiny crack (about 1-2 inches) on the back "bumper" I think you would call it (it's a Honda). And the paint might be a little loose. Personally don't think that it's worth fixing but she does. Is it worth fixing? And how much do you think it ll cost?
- Cracked top of Honda engine block. Looks repaired but how long will this last? Bought a used car 1 year ago. It runs fine and no problems. Took the car it for an oil change and mechanic noticed a leak. He took off the oil pan and found this. Oh the joys of buying a used car… Looks repaired but how long will this last? Honda quoted me $6000 to repair it… Can I keep running the car like this? Thanks Dan! This is a photo taken from the top. Timing chain to the right
