How do I replace a clutch of the car won't move?
I have a 1997 Honda Civic. I believe the clutch is gone. It won't stall or move. Or could this be lack of transmission oil? Anyways, if i have to replace the clutch how do I go about doing so if the car won't move?
Get it towed…
You can't put it in neutral and roll it?
Why on earth would you need to move the car to change the clutch. Jack it up put it on jack stands and change the clutch. Or call a tow truck and have them move it to a mechanic. Honestly the latter is likely your best bet with your depth of understanding.
Either have it towed or start it in gear like 2nd and drive slowly. Many shops will tow free if the do that kind of work. Call around

- My car won't move in any gear under its own power but rolls in park while making a grinding noise I drive a 08 Honda Civic LX automatic. Yesterday I tried to take off from a stop and heard a loud metal snapping sound followed by loud grinding. Then it wouldn t move under its own power in any gear even reverse. It starts just fine, even idles as if nothing s wrong, will rev too. I have to have the emergency brake on because it rolls in park. In park it also makes grinding noises.
